• What is AYSO •
The American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) is a national, non-profit organization which provides soccer development and instruction for children between the ages of 4 and 19. Here in San Elijo, we are a team of volunteers, including administrators, coaches, and referees, many of whom are parents or family of the youth we coach.
You can view a quick video covering the philosophies of AYSO.

Offsides - A player is offside if he or she is ahead of the ball at the moment the ball touches or is played by a member of the same team, except if that player:
- Is in his/her own half of the field
- Has 2 opponents even with or between him/her and the opponent's goal line (determined by the referee with the ball is played and not received).
- Is the first to receive the ball from a throw-in, corner kick, or goal kick
- Is not involved in active play by interfering with play, interfering with an opponent, or gaining an advantage by being in that position.
You can also
